85fox , you from the NB/fall river area ??about a month ago i saw a POS fly by me on the highway sounded like a honda doing 200mph only caught the back end of it it was black with a drag wing hard to tell if it was a hatch or notch think it had the clear tailights but i might be wrong ...probably one of the worst sounding cars ive ever heard scared the shit out of me ..didnt know if it was you or not .

as a matter of fact it was 10 years ago ...actually moved up to an 03 cobra and in between to many cars to count ...

change paint color on the pvc, the blue just draws attention to the fact that you went cheap on the intake.

No harm meant, I understand you wanted to save cash, it just doesn't look good (even though jlt started through this sort of intake and its really no difference) looks are a factor as well as performance and I just think that that intake takes away from the rest of the car.

That being said, keep the intake and get a hood to cover it

thanks for your opinion but i like it blue, i like that its pvc and i love it sticking outta the hood. there is no hood out there that it will fit under.

Mystic cobra u obviously didint hear my car too clear prob sounds better than most of the cars you've owned the your prob the first and only person who's said it sounds bad and pos maybe u should come and check my car out and look arojnd and it and and find one flaw other than the fact of it needing to b painted so u don't know what your talkin about and Im sure it was my car flyin by u either me or my brother

haha i dont know man i doubt your car sounds better then my 03 cobra or any of my other cobras ive had or my lightning ...i was actually with another member on the site and he said same thing actually his words were "what kind of honda has a drag wing on the back of it " ...it sounded like headers and h pipe and no mufflers ...if i lived closer id love to take a look at it , if i head down that area again and i feel like checking it out ill send a PM your way .

You guys should bring your cars to Bass Pro and we can hear them both and see whose sounds better. Having a loud exhaust on your car was cool about 10 years ago. Now people are becoming more educated on cars and realizing that chambered mufflers make a nice rumble, but don't offer the performance that a straight through muffler does which is why on newer cars the chambered muffler isn't as popular.

85 fox its good you have your car the way you want it and as long as you like thats all that matters. I just gotta ask, if you knew the car needed a proper paint job why did you spray can primer it? Why not leave it the way it was and let a quality body shop do it all? Any real shop is going to charge you to strip all that spray can stuff off and then prep, prime and paint it.

I sprayed it cause I really don't give a Shit if u really wanna know and it really don't matter to me if a body shop will charge me to do it anyway I already got a price on what I'm doing with car and that's not happening for a little while and that's if I even decide to paint it that Way if not I have someone who will do a decent job for 800 after I'm done with my motor in a few weeks
