I'm pretty sure the tranny in my car needs to be replaced, the shifter rattles like crazy at higher rpm (anything above 4500, and above 5000 is unbearable). Its not the shifter because I have swapped it out with a stock one and it does the same thing. I've tried replacing the fluid, tightening up shifter bolts, motor and tranny mounts and still the same thing. Anyways, where would you recommend to get it done? I'm in the Mansfield area. Its a T5 any good tranny shop can rebuild it. You could always try it yourself. Hanlon motorsports sells a rebuild kit and they include the video on how to rebuild it.
