just as the title says. i parked in my driveway which is on a 30* incline. cut the wheel (saved me), put it in park and hit the ebrake. 5 minutes later my truck is down the street sitting sideways. i put it back in the driveway and it rolled back while in park again. what the fuck happend?
its a 01 silverado. i tried parking while in 4x4 and it grabbed. i think something in the t-case is not catching in 2wd
i thought it hit my neighbors car but just barely missed.
the parkpawl mechanism is in the tranny but maybe the transfercase neutralized somehow? Do you ever use 4low or just 4hi to 2hi ? Or maybe the transfercase isn't locking into 4hi and goes to nuetral?

t-case is junk but still engages and I was using it earlier in the morning. it must have went into neutral instead of 2hi. it has popped out of 4lo before while doin some wheelin. the t-case is basically crapped out more than I thought.
