I want to swap the front spindles and suspension off my 03 and put it on my 85 also take the disc rear end and swap it into my 85. Any suggestions should it all fit?
I'm taking the suspension off so I can build a custom suspension the rest of the car is staying togetherso I kinda want to keep the hood but might let it go for the right price

I've done the swap u just need to run s197 wheel offset 35mm+ and use latemodel restoration ebrake disk cables u need 94+ brake booster and proportion valve and for te castle nut on 96+ spindles u need. A .330 washer unless u run sn95 which is direct fit
probly gonna have manual brakes so i won't need the booster i plan on using my stock 03 gt wheels for now. From my research the 03 rear is 2inches wider overall so 1 inch on each side that ain't so bad as for the fronts it's something like 8mm wider on each side i personally like the wider stance.
like the wider stance too but if u lower the car u will most likely have a rubbing issue I did but I just did a rear coilover conversion and put the car up to the perfect height
If you plan on running a 9" front rim you may have rubbing issues with the spindles. Its a very worthwhile swap to do and helps to correct some of the poor fox body design. Not to mention you really open up your wheel options.
did the front suspension swap today used the 03 lower control arms spindles struts and brakes brought the tires to the edge of the fender lip looks really good going to swap the rear tomorrow and take some picts of the progress
Sweet my tires stick out past the rear quater they r 275s if u do wanna run bigger and set them in more u need bigger offset and u if u want ebrake cables i recommend les cables they bolt right in only 50 or 60 for the set
