RE: starting over...

My friend works nights at a powder coating place and he took care of me, only $100 to do the intake and covers.

finally started getting some paint work done in the bay.i decided to do it myself.the pictures actually look better than it does in person, usually its the other way around.i went to the paint store and they can put real auto paint into a spray can,so thats what im doing.it actually sprays really nice.im surprised how good its looking so far.the body work on it is not so good,i dont haver the patience for it and i just want the motor in. luckily most of this will be hidden from sight when its done. so heres a few pics:

Looks nasty, the intake and covers look great black, does your intake touch the valve cover? What spacer are you using? Mine is touching a little.

I have a 1" spacer and it barely touches on the back side of the cover. I'm wondering if it will all fit under the stock hood.

There are a lot of insulating covers and blankets in summit for covering wires and other things. How close is the down pipe?

It's the header that's it's hitting not the down pipe. I should have wrapped the headers, maybe I'll pull them off and wrap it up.

you might be good with just the wrap, the headers will definitely be the hottest part of the hot side-
