Strange Morning Issues...Help


So every morning hop in my stang and start her up, the car will not stay running. ill stay in the gas for a bit, feathering and holding rpms, still will stall out..only stay running after ive driven her for a bit(has a cam if makes a dif)....ALSO in the morning ill give it some gas while im trying to warm her up and i will here a loud pop coming from the cold air intake I THINK, im pretty sure thats were its coming from...please any ideas, thoughts or knowledge is greatly appretiated.

Could be alot of things. I would start with a diagnostic scan and find out what codes you got then take it from there.

Some simple steps that may work are:

- Clean Throttle Body and IAC sensor (this controls idle speed).
- Clean MAF with a wet rag (don't spray it with anything).

Unhook battery for 15 minutes will also clear the ECM

The popping noise is "lean pop".. check for codes...

clean mass air element with carb cleaner ,check for vacumme leaks if not check the idel air and tps to make shure there fuctioning properly if u have a fuel preshure gauge also check that on tommorow mornings start up

If it's running bad cold , but good when at operating temp. I would try replacing the temp sensor . When cold it needs more fuel than when warm . If the temp sensor is faulty it will not adjust for the correct fuel ratio .
