What a day, new best 1/8 mile


Went to my local 1/8 mile for a little racing saturday. Raced with my club and then in the tracks "Modified" race. Car ran within .04 on ALL of the passes (9 passes!) minus one that I got out of it and even ran 107.37 THREE times. The car was working mint.

Club race, 1st pass

2nd pass

Club Race, 1st round
dial in - 6.38

6.413 @ 101.97 - WIN, had him covered so let off, probe would have went a 6.37 and lost

2nd round
dial in - 6.38

6.383 @ 107.90 but LOST. was asleep at the tree

then went on to the "Modified" race. total of 52 cars in the field

1st qual pass

2nd qual pass

6.394 @ 107.44

Modified eliminations, round 1

6.389 @ 106.64 - WIN, let off just before the traps bc he was covered

6.497 @ 94.37 - WIN, go to the 330' and realized he red lit so let off

6.364 @ 107.64 - WIN, saw him red light and went for it

Round 4

Round 5....got the bye run so didn't make a run as I was running out of ice!

Round 6 - Semi finals
this part sucks....pre staged....staged and pushed the trans brake button and it didn't hold...tried it again and the car rolled through the beams...red light :bash:

the button acted up a couple times during the day and wouldn't engage reverse until I hit it a few times. so I guess it time for a new button...preferably a REAL trans brake one.

Then someone says go run the bottle and cheer yourself up. lol. I only had about 20 minutes till the last race of the night was going to go so I put the warmer on and prepped the car. pressure only got up to a tick over 900. put it in the car and opened it and it went down to 850psi...haha. went fo rit anyways...

6.11 @ 112.44!!!

math wise thats a 9.59 in the 1/4......so to say I wasn't all smile after that is an understatement. cant wait to get back to a full 1/4 and run the car.

also, my best of 6.36 on blower only is roughly a 10.02-10.03 in my car from my previous slips.
