You do realize with that money you can make your car faster than the new GT's right? Its one thing if you want a new car with the comforts and reliability, but for $7500 you can do up a pretty nice GT or even sell your car and buy a cobra with your sale. You can pick up 96-98 blower cobras for 10000 and under.
I wouldn't buy the new GT if you just want a fast car. If you want a fast reliable car with a warranty then go for a new GT. You will have a good deposit for one with the $7500 you have plus any more that you could save until then.
