this is not for a mustang but for my 1999 jeep grand cherokee laredo...

just bought the jeep this week
manual say that it has a 20 gallon tank capacity i have gone to fill the tank 3 times already and can only fit 12 gallons. when i go to fill the gas light is on or it is below 1/4 tank..... what would cause this not to get 20 gallons in the tank?????

i know some one on here probally diagnos this problem for me....

There might be a racoon in your gas tank taking up the extra capacity

is your gauge working, maybe the sending unit float is fucked and sank giving you a wrong reading-

there is a large quantity of cocaine in your gas tank please remove it and bring it to my house so i can dispose of it correctly

My 99 jeep grand cherokee holds 18g at MAX. but i had to replace the floating unit before due to offroading an it boucning around to much.
