my car at idle is about 12psi, i heard that it was cuz my motor was built loosely and its a good thing but thats what i heard. the rule of thumb for oil psi is 10 per 1k like snakebite stated.

Fram is junk

Purolator makes one of the best. The motor craft filter is actually a purolator pure one cartridge in a purolator classic case. Good cheap filter.....fl-1a all the way

if your going to pulll the engine measure the clearances. a pump is not going to do anything for an engine that has wear.

thats what i was thinking but i dont have time now to do a motor swap i figured i do the pump i have a lift and shit so id try it in the truck if i cant ill pull it but ill just buy a low milage bottom end if i go threw the hassle but if i can swap pumps and its good so i can get the summer out of it it would be sweet and im gona rebuild something for it this winter

yeah you can def get the summer out of it. i got the summer out of an engine that had zero pressure at idle. its common for these engines especialy ones from the late 80's.
