1 3/4" have good clearance..might need a wrench or header socket to tighten a few spark plugs vs a socket..but no issues with plug boots

1 5/8" will need 90* boots on the driver's side...mainly #5 and #6

I just ordered a set of ceramic BBK 1 5/8" w/cats for my GT-40P setup...haven't installed yet though.

Best way is to first make sure the hardware will come off w/o breaking. Soak them down overnight with some rust treatment to hopefully make it easier. You may need to jack up the engine a bit in order for them to drop in. I did that on my old fox body and it worked well. Stage 8 header bolts are a good thing to use too. Watch all wires, hoses, steering shaft, etc to make sure it clears. I had to do solid motor mounts to make the header clear the steering shaft.

I had the Jet Hot coated ones and I will say that the coating is thick and when it came time to tighten the collectors bolts they actually started to strip out. I was starting them by hand and then using and air ratchet to tighten them. I caught it in time though adn didn't ruin anything. If I had it to do over again I'd have done it by hand or used a tap/die kit to clean the threads then tighten it all down.

Def make sure your motor mounts are in good condition first. If they are sagging, the headers will hit all sorts of things. Just an FYI before you get halfway through the install.

Also, i've had it recommended to me to purchase an aftermarket steering shaft due to the rubber "bushing" in the stock shaft tending to melt from the headers being close. I know the "Pypes" brane headers actually pass the steering shaft THROUGH the headers, so it is an issue with them, but unsure how the BBK headers are with the stock shaft.

Just an FYI on potential issues.

thats cool yeah everything on the cars is pretty much new so it will come off with out hassle. just to re gap my plugs i had to take my headers out that sucked balls haha. I was thinking of getting grade 8 locking header bolts and Percy s High Performance 66014 header gasket.

I've used the Percy's with good luck. The set on my car has been there for 5 years now or so and no leaks. I'm even missing 1 header bolt.

When i put my LT's on...i'm gonna use the Percy's again with locking header bolts.

But $31 is a little on the costly side for a gasket

ordered the percys gasket yesterday and the stage 8 locking header bolts cant wait to put these bitches on the car. now all i will need is a cat back. i will check my tps voltage tomorrow and see if it around .998 from what i read. it has to be something queer that makes the car do what it does. i will figure it out sooner or later. turn signals dont work either so thats what my hand is for ahaha

TPS voltage does not matter. Just set it to anywhere between .60 and 1.10 volts. If it's not in that range, it generates a code 23. The car takes a base reading at startup of where idle voltage is and then sets a threshold of 2.7V over that for WOT.

All this dialing in .9999999v is meaningless. Just make sure it's between .6 and 1.1v @ idle
