SHORTIE HEADERS VS LONGTUBE


I was looking at exhaust and looking at the headers... Whats the advantages of shorties or longtubes... Thought somebody could tell me some pros and cons of both of them...

i love long tubes they sound so sick just a little harder to install

long tubes all the way plus you get more torque from long tubes than shorties

you're performance upgrades (very minor) with LONG tubes but you will have to change some of your exhaust piping. and yes the sounds from the longtubes is awesome.

i wouldent say that the differance is minor on 4.6 cars and stroaker 5liter cars ive seen oer 20hp gains from just switching to long tubes

bang for the buck it is worth getting shorties if money is not a matter get longtubes they flow better and soundbetter but can be a bitch to install making you drop k member on my style car shorties you can just shove up there and bolt up in most cases

does ground clearance become an issue with long tubes? especially on a lowered fox?

ya the headers get closer to the ground as you lower the car making it an issue if you go off roading

these fine streets of Worcester may not be of the best quality and can at times be like off roading...
