Vibration after 70-80 mph

Hi everyone have a question if you could help me out when im on the highway doing about 70 everything is smooth when i go faster 80, 90, 100+ I get some vibration from under the car. Is that because of the aluminum drive shaft? would a drive shaft loop help out any? Also what should I set my timing to? thanks

could be the d shaft ive had them give drive line vibration but a drive shaft loop wont do anything for that it just if you launch a drive shaft the loop keep it from flying all over the place lol is the car stock

i would say rebalance your tires.........driveshaft vibration would be felt at much lower speed and increase as you go faster. i had this problem with one of my mustangs years back.

It could be the tail shaft bushing being worn out in the tranny , a u- joint binding or worn out , drive shaft could be bent ( did you get it used or new ) . It could be the flange that meets the drive shaft at the rear end not being cleaned and not sitting flush . Pinion bearing could be worn .

X2 your exactly right i"ve had this problem numerous times...if it were your u joints the vibration would be almost unbareable at 60mph...i'm saying it could be your tires...my altima did that once i got nice new tires....never did it again

the car is not stock there has been a decent amount of work done to the car it was a 4cyl got converted to a v8, the motor is pretty much new it has edelbrock upper and lower, cam gt40p heads i believe i bought it about a month ago and havent had a chance to look everything over. Well this weekend is looking nice so i will check everything out then.
The car also has some quirks to it when its cold it runs rough until it warm and sometime when you drive her powerful as shit banging all 3 gears and possiblly 4th with the bald tires haha. sometimes when im in 1st gear it seems like the motor is holding back, other times it chugs the timing may be off idk. It has 19lb injectors so i was thinking because of the motor mods and shit that 24lb and calibrated maf will give it the fuel it needs right now fuel pressure with vac line attched is like 35psi without the vac line 39psi. its def an annoying situation but im confident in myself and with the help of you guys we'll get this bitch running the way she should.

Your fuel pressure should be up alittle higher
ex: 38psi with the vaccuum line attached and 40psi w/o

but with the mods that your car has done to it doesnt need 24lb injectors, the 19's can support your engine just fine. It idles rough when it cold is most likely because its got a cam (my car does the same thing) and the timing is probabaly off I would set it at 12 and see how it runs from there.

its most likley the tires one way or another and being bald you shouldn't go much faster then 40 with them anyways

if ur rear tires are bald i would say thats why you are feeling vibrations espically if you burnt any tire with them cause the would wear unevenly

my 2 cents

i didnt say anything about smokeshows but i know worn tires are not the safest to be going 80 with and if they need to be replaced why balance them just get new tires for it and have them balanced and there is one issue fixed that may fix your vibration

Well i messed around with the car yesterday and will do more today. the cars been timed but still hesitates or chugs when driving. when im in1st gear she hesitates and when i mash the throttle sometimes she will backfire. the car temp gauge never goes higher than 130 deg. I heard somewhere that the wrong thermostat in these fuel injected stangs makes them run weird idk. It seems in order for me to check my plugs i need to unbolt my headers i cant even get a socket on them. let the process of elimination begin.

Run the check engine codes and see what comes up. QUite common for codes to be logged and a CEL to never come on.
