thinking of buying this motor feedback please!!


i know i posted this in the tech part but this looked like a better spot what do you guys think i might buy this complete motor for $1500

brand new top to bottom,bored .40 over,new high volume oil pump,new oil pan and pickup,FMS adjustable double roller timing chain,new timing cover and water pump,under drive crank and water pump pullies,new GT40P heads with 5 angle valve job,stainless valves 1.94/1.54,FMS lifters and pushrods,FMS SVO 1.6 roller rockers,E303 cam,BBK SSI upper and lower intake manifold with fuel rails and adj. FPR with 24# injectors, BBK 75mm throttle body. ready to go.- over $3700 spent on this engine, i will entertain all REASONABLE offers
no trades for dirtbike or stuff like that

from what i found when researching my first build, that motor should easily make upwards of 275rwhp. the only thing i would yank asap would be the intake. i hear nothing but bad about them. go with some sort of gt40 style, like a cobra, tubular gt40 or an explorer. even a trick flow street heat would work well.

i would buy the trickflow top end kit its a great price and your gonna get a much better set of heads and everything will be brand new

yeah idk it depends what he wants for that motor, if your lower end is fine i'd prob do what shiesta tim just said and buy your own h/c/i set up....that way you know its new and youll make more power.

thats funny ou said that because the guy called me late last night and his buddy jus bought the upper and lower so hes gunna replace with cobra upper and lower..........thanks man

im going to check the trick flow kit out and this guy claims erything is brandneww idk though

i personally dont like the gt40p heads the spark plug is at a different angle and there a bitch to do plugs on and u gotta get the gt40p headers or equal lengths with will cause your strut tower to rot out

do a h/c/i on your existibg 302 bottom they can make great power either way good luck ....do u wanna be N/A or do u eventually wanna do a blower?????

you should see who did the work but for 1500 bucks it isnt a bad deal you couldnt have the bottom end done for that and theres gotta be close to that into the heads for drop in and go setup i think its a good deal and paul kruss at pk machine who specializes it fords say that a well set up gt40p is the best bang for the buck out there if i had the money id be making him an offer and it would be in the ranger

yeah i ended up purchasing it today hopefully goin in next weekend i think i might have my old 302 sold already too ill let u guys know how it goess thanks for all the feedback
