hey guys... not sure if anyones ever rebuilt a jet ski motor... its a 900 but its the first engine ive ever been in besides a small engine...
when i took the head cover off the piston rings were bent so i pulled it apart and re did the rings... the engine had no compression in one cylinder so im guessing this is why it wouldnt start? does this make sense?
also it sat for liek 4 years so i have to clean the carbs, but it wouldnt start when i put starter fluid in so im guessing it was the lack of compression making it not start...
i ahve one problem... i gotta figure out the gas lines but even if i do this right, is there anyway to see if it will turn before putting it back in the ski? any tips to figuring out what gas lines go where? its a3 cylinder (3 seperate carbs)
thanks
also make an offer if youd be interested in buying it... its a 95 jet skit 900 good condition shiny fiberglass ran well... the engine was a new rebult one from sbt i think... it was put in by a watercraft mechanic friend 5 years ago, ran or 2 then the ski sat for like 3 so the engines basically new...the rings bent cuz my cousin sucked a rock in the impeller and i think it all jammed up
trailer was new around engine time but tires have flat spots from sitting
