What do you think it should cost to put long tube headers in a mod mustang?

Lick my nut bag for $50.00. I have a Shop and i've done 3 allready !!!!
Keep in mind when doing long tubes, you need to change the mid pipe.
Just means more work.. I quoted someone i think from on here at $550.00
I was told they didn't think it would be that much..You have to drop the subframe to install long tube's... All i have to say is try and do them your self then call me!!!
Been there and done it..t is an all day job and a lift...

and changing the midpipe shouldn't mean more money to you. should just be a set price. you can change a midpipe in your driveway in 20 minutes on your back haha.

Usually you drop the K member down to fit them. Its a pain in the ass to do them. Takes a few hours. I wouldn't pay Dez pricing for it though. If you can get them done for $500 thats a good price.

Shorty headers usualllly dont require to change any exhaust piping if they are the same size as stock headers. Long tubes obviously would require you to change the midpipe because they are no longer the same length. as obvious as that seems lol.

Bassani makes mid length headers that offer more than a shorty header, but don't cause near the complications that longtubes offer.

Some of you guys amaze me!!! One's asking how much when the previous blog has the price!!! and another guy is comparing the price to doing a midpipe!!!
Obviously shorties you can use the excisting midpipe...
THE PRICE I GIVE TO DO HEADERS IN A MOD IS $500.00
THE PRICE TO INSTALL LONG TUBES WITH A NEW MIDPIPE IS $550.00
END OF STORY... IF YOU CAN'T AFFORD IT, THEN LEAVE YOUR CAR ALONE.. AND STOP DREAMING.

i never compared it to doing a midpipe, i said it should be a set price. what sense does an option where you don't put the car back together make? that shouldn't even exist.

who is going to come to you and pay to have just headers done and leave the rest of the exhaust off the car to save 50 bucks? you need to take the existing midpipe off the car in order to change the headers, correct? so reinstalling a midpipe is part of the process of changing the headers. how does it make any sense at all? that's like saying you'll charge 500 to take the car apart and then put it partially back together, but for an extra 50, you'll finish the job you started...

basically, i'm saying the $500 option shouldn't exist. it should obviously be $550 to do the WHOLE job without the option of only doing most of the job.

so because you can do it in your driveway in 20 minutes means any shop should do it for free???
john 550 is a really decent price keep charging what you charge you dont want to deal with the people who bitch about money anyway

no, that's not what i'm saying. i never said 550 was a bad price, because it's a good price. what i'm saying is the cheaper option doesn't make sense, like i said before. it just makes a ton more sense to get rid of that because who's going to only pay to do headers and leave the rest apart? how are you supposed to get the car home without it being put back together?

550 is a very fair price and i wouldn't change that either.
