ABS Problem

I have an 01 gt everything runs great on it. Only thing is the abs light goes on and off. I can hear the abs motor turn on, and i feel the abs in the pedal. It stops fine. Anybody got any ideas how to fix it or what may be wrong with it.

Thanks

Not to hijack this but in my explorer my ABS light randomly came on and wont go off. It hasn't change the drive ability but it wont go off either.

Both symptoms lead towards an ABS sensor

More than likely....ABS sensor.

You can unplug and check the resistance values of the sensors. You might find one to be a little off...or just visually check them. When one of mine went bad, the actually sensor housing was split and corroded.

Also, tire size differences can cause this. If you are running tires with different diameters, they must be pretty close to each other or the light will go off...usually at higher speeds.
