Has everyone seen the pics of the new "coyote" project Ford is developing. It will displace 5.0 liters. Even though it is in the Modular family it is a totally new motor just for the mustang. Of course Australia will get it first, possibly in the Falcon (which I would love to import). 5.0 mustang magazine did a great full report on it. http://www.mustang50magazine.com/featuredvehicles/m5lp_091229_2011_5_liter_mustang_videos/index.html


400 hp in N/A trim sounds good to me

thats cool looking... just wondering where it would fit in the model lineup... the new taurus is obviously here to stay, and the fusion is car of the year...

Yeah we are not getting the Falcon over here, even though I wish we were. They have a good size inline six turbo, 3v 4.6 even the 5.4 supercharged combo on the boss model. It almost looks like it could be the same body platform as the fusion/500/taurus, but the falcon is rwd. As for the new 5.0 we should see that in the next mustang and who knows maybe explorers too.

The new 5.0 setup looks good. I hope they can cut some weight off the new body style so it won't be a sled

the new 5.0 motor is for mustangs only, nothing else...it makes 412 horse..coming in 2011. its in the new 5.0 mustang and super ford magazine

Actually, the F150 is getting it first.




There is also a 6.2L slated for the F150 that is debuting in the Raptor. Ford found it fitting to cast "The Boss is back" in the lifter valley




Other than the F150, the Mustang and the Australian Falcon will be getting the new 5.0L mod motor.

Who knows what other vehicles will receive it

boss is back is pretty sick. the 5.4 in my f150 only makes like 300 hp... and a ton of torque but still, the 4.6 makes the same power... somethings not right...

i work at a ford dealer...i had a raptor in the other day. sick truck but it only had a 5.4. looked pretty stock.

I thought the raptor had the new motor. What does that have just a factory lift with 33s?

The 2010 Raptor does have the new 6.2L, but the standard engine is the 5.4L.


The 6.2 isn't available yet, so if you want one you'll have to wait a few months.

its gota 4 inch lift on 35s i think... looked like bfg a/t's last time i was at the dealer... and they were a little narower than my 12.5s i think from a quick look... its crazy though because it sonly a 4 inch lift but the truck is 8 inches wider than stock... its like over 11 inches of travel up front
