Fox Coupes with 18" Wheel Pics

Any got pics with a coupe with 18" wheels??

How about posting your rear set up?

i.e. fox track width or sn track width

I currently have sn axles with 17x8 mach 1 wheels. I wanna run an 18x10 but im not sure about clearance. .

my car has 18x9's all the way around, stock track width.. just 5 lug axles with room to spare, SN axles with 18x10 should be no problem.. even stock width should be fine.. you will prob have to get rid of the quad shocks with stock width axles tho if you havnt already and roll the lips!!

my car isn't a coupe, but i have 18x10's out back with stock width axles and no rubbing. in order to run that big of a wheel on sn95 axles, you need to run 05+ s197 offsets and backspacing which ends up being something like 43mm i believe and even at that, i'm not sure how well they fit as i've never personally done it.

on a different note, you were trying to trade me those wheels for my old set of fr500's on craigslist a few months back. if you still want to buy some, i've got another set for sale! haha

I'v done some home work and green92lx is on the right path with the s197 offset. Even a little more like +46-48 mm maybe. But i would still like to see if anyone has fit them on a fox just to see the stance

why dont u do a mini tub kit , from wolfe craft or dmc ....(i even have a kit ill sell ya)

have your rear end shortend to 49 inches exactly put big bearing 9 inch ends on it

now you can run 325/335 radial or 13 slick on a 15x12 inch rim with a 5 inch backspace

theres no spacers and they tuck underneath the car no rubs or anything , but theres omne work involed installing minitubs its not something someones gonna in there driveway

just my 2 cents my car has mini tubs and its night and day

49 inches is the narrowest you can go and use stock style suspension
pm me if you need more info

MM&FF's Steve Baur provided some pictures of Michael Minor's '93 Cobra. It's the perfect example of mini tubs in a street application. Those are ginormous BFG 345/30-18 tires on 18x13 wheels

see theres no spacers they tuck perfect to tire out past body ect ... done right ...spacers are only a band aid
any time u put a spacer and extend more weight out on trhe studs theres alot more stress on the studs also

that car has a stock lengh 8.8 though without any real backspacing i beleve so he can tuck the huge tires in so easly

theres a link to his build it shows how he did the mini tub etc andit has great pics of it going along

this car was at dmc its shortend im pretty sure to 49 inches if you read the full article chop cut rebuild under mmff....cuz this car had 29x10.5w under it to show diffrent tire combos , but it looks cool but thats a lot of tire

those tires if i recall are like 400$ a wack

andy two different cars the one that they show in the article is an lx that they built, the cobra that u posted is a real cobra, if u go through the build thread that i posted it shows the car getting the mini tub and on the second page in one of his post it says stock lengh rear end, easy to get confused because in the article the posted two red cars lol the lx was mini tubbed with a shortened rear but um yea either way its the way to go mini tub for the win!

yeah ok i see now ...the one dmc did actually uses a 9 inch if not mistakin

i like the shortened up rear better ...so u can get the nice backspacing but i guess either way will work , but mini tubs are the way to go tho if u dont want to use spacers , worry about rubbing and get thatr big tire under ther without issues
