Finally new tires!! what is the widest rears i can get?


finally time for new rims an tires...i got the 17x9 17x10.5 black chrome fr500's an my cars lowered 2in so they should look big enough. what is the widest tire that would fit the rears? if anybody has any pics of there setup that would be sickkpraise2

i had a 335 on my 03 with a 10.5 inch rim and a 1 inch wheel spacer and lowered inch and a half.
did rub if had three people in car or over bumps

315 is prob best size to use i'm running a 295 right now and have no rubbing issues

yea the bullits were okay but i wanted to change some stuff up for the spring, get a new look going + too many peple got em anyways. i forgot the tire sizes cuz i sold the set on CL the otha day lol. 315 seems to be the usual, but 335 wouldnt work?

a 335 is a realy big tire .... biggger than most people relize a 315 is huge compared to stock
and theres nothing worse than tire rub

335 will probably fit, remember some tires run narrower than others even though they are the same size. Nittos always run narrower than the same size in Goodyear or BFG. You should probably do longer wheel studs with a rim that wide. You may not be able to get the lug to grab enough of the threads. I run 17x10.5's w/ BFG 315/35/17 KDs. No rubbing anywhere. I run 3/8" spacer with longer wheel studs. I only needed the spacer to clear the IRS bolt.

do a 315/35/17 out back and a 275/40/17 or 245/45/17 up front. this way you will have the same size diameter for both front and back of 25.7"

a 255/45/17 will yield a 26"

you will prob be able to find the 315 easier and much cheaper than the 335 as the 315 is a bit more common

yuk174, black chrome would look sickk on ur stang...my cars purple lol. But 315 seems to be the size im gna to go with, wats the best brand for the $
