ive talked to a couple of buddys who are in car clubs and stuff they told me that they all pay yearly dews and stuff and that they do donation thrught the year to they have cook outs and they also do otherthings so i was wondering wat people thought about paying a yearly dew so we can make this a better club and do more things let me know this money would go towards the site

im in for that...but we need to have people running the meets/events that are motivated and dedicated. if people start paying dues then they are gonna expect a lot more from the site. but i would donate money to have a legit car club.

it would also help to start the process of gettin stickers shirts sweatshirts and then we could sell those to to make money to help it will take a little time to get the money rolling but i think it would be good

no one pays any money for the sight besides the owner and everyone uses it like a myspace and an ebay so lets do a 25 dollar a year fee and that can get us started wen we go to shows no one has stickers on their cars or wearing shirts nuthin like that

we have tried this in the past maybe it could work now kno knows?!?!?!

as for the meets we set many up no1 comes we ask for ideasdates and what not never works out

we even had trouble gettin 50 bucks for the banner!!!

as for the stickers wheels picked a bunch up then people never met up with him to get them and had $$ shelled out for months

as for the cookouts thats a great idea but no1 really wants 25+ mustangs and all the people at there house

Its a tough situation. Once we get the ball rolling im sure it will get better. Tuesday meets are useless IMO. Im all for cookout and BBQ but that migth happen once a year. We should try for car events and be a big enough group that we have all our cars together with the banner. If your expecting more than that i think its overachiveing. I'm all for puttng time and effort to what people want but the fact that 80% of the people never follow through with anthing is something that cant be changed. The site needs more members so that if only 10% show up to a major meet that its still worth having becuase thats just the way it would work.

We need 20-25 guys that would step up and this would work.

Paul said it best, I agree with him, this has been done before, but doesn't seem like not everyone puts 100% commitment to it when they say they will... they way I see it, if you say your going to do something DO IT! LOL Don't back down at the last minute unless it's a real emergency.. I'm sure with time, confidence, and finding the people who want to run it, it can be a great turn out.. Winter is coming, so during the winter months it would be a great idea to use this time and gather as much ideas and info and come up with a final draft before next spring hits. Just my 2 cents. headbang.gif

how are tues meets useless?? every1 knos that they are tuesday nites start around 530ish is u cant plan for a tues nite in the summer i dont kno how u cant make 1 with that being said u always wanna meet at the waterfront which is a good time but it convient for u. the whole site voted for tues at braintree @ 530 maybe this winter well revote on where and when

Im all for cookout and BBQ but that migth happen once a year.

we would need a place that every agrees on and $$ to pay for it and some1 to bring a grill if its at a park or something like that

why dont we try and do some meets of our own b4 we try going to other meets?

all for puttin time and effort in??? u couldnt even make a meet this year

only 10% will ever show up people have busy lives 1 days good for 1 but not for 20 so u will always usually have a 10% show

A good deal of us i bet are in college or below and either are to far away or dont really have time during the school year to get out to meets unless they are weekends, I think that meets would be better if they were at like at maybe like 3 or 4 or even the normal 5ish time but on sundays during the spring and summer because Sundays are chill days anyways for most people that work full time.

We would have to get more serious members that would want to buy something like sweatshirts or even t-shirts. Stickers can be sold easily because they are cheap and look nice on our cars if your willing to rep it.Granted some cars are show cars so you wouldn't put a huge bostonstangs sticker on it. also maybe if we did have a yearly like due it would help the site too but its hard to actually get people to pay up, donations would work but are to few and far apart. some of the more serious members that have a lot of post should think about trying to donate like 20 dollars, because 20 dollars a year out of like say 50 serious members would be an easy grand for the site and meets. but yet again its do we even have 50 members that would pay, because they would want something in return and I dont know what the money would even go towards besides paying to keep the site running.

Im always using this site when Im bored so if anything does become official i probably would take part in it because Im sure i could come up with 20 or so dollars for it.

The reason the meets are at the time and day they're on is because the site had a vote. Now I cant make the meets because I live north of Boston and get out of work AT 5 and the traffic going south of Boston is killer around that time so I wouldn't be able to get there until WAY later. We should potentially think about changing the day/time but that's a different story for a different time. As far as donating I'm more than willing to donate, I'm still working on trying to get the site hosted for free so that Ed doesn't have to spend a fortune keeping this club going. Sites like these can bring in a lot of revenue if you have enough active people. Active members = Advertising. If we ditch the idea of paying dues and just get a loyal following (like corral) then advertising companies will start paying us (ed) to put advertisements on the site. Idk what any of this means lol but that's just my 2cents :|

you paid me to do the clutch, and gave me a junk t-5 for a t-5 with harden gears that you than blew reverse out of, i didn't build the trans, and i'm not the one beating the shit out of it, so i can't stand behind it, i can stand behind my work.the clutch install. and also you asked around and found out that when people rebuild trannys they don't rebuild reverse.

i paid to do a clutch and paid 650 for the trans and gave you 2 t-5 cores. not to mention i got my car back missing a 100 pair of glasses, 2 winning scratch tickets that were in the console, a missing inner shift boot and some missing tools. i didnt ask you to fix it for free i asked for some help making it right
