I keep blowing headlight bulbs due to my passenger headlight housing leaking water/condensation into it. They are ultra clear headlights from latemodelrestoration.com. I sent them back once and had them replaced for free already and they have done the same thing. What can i do to seal them up? i rtv syliconed it already but it did not work. any ideas??
first thing i would do is take them off blow them out with air then take rubbling alcohaul pour it in there, this will make the rest of the water to evaporate next blow it out again
i know on newer styles like my 04 i can remove the lens from the housing can that be done with fox bodies???
if you siliconed them already it must be getting in from the back somewhere check to make sure you are using the right size bulb and the bulb is seating properly in the hole.
there are vent tube on the back of my lense housing dont know about foxs but check to make sure there is tube attached and that it is not open allowing water to come in
seal anything and every thing that you might think will be your problem in worst case sinerio you could take the hole light out and fill with water and see if it leaks out and thats where it would allow it to come in
those are my ideas on what to do

thanks buddy... tried the fill it up trick and sealed it where it leaked out, but sure enough water finds its way back in there! im tired of having one clear headlight and one foggy water filled shitty looking headlight...
another trick is to drill a small tinny tinny hole in the bottom near the corner at the lowest point this is so if it gets any water or any condensation it will drain out
do you have you inner wheel well in you car cause when it rains or you go thru a puddle the water will splash up on the light if you dont have them in place
it doesnt make sense you said you sealed them already and its still leaks you might have shitty aftermarket lens

I had that problem on my newly acquired 88 L.X. The lights were in good shape and are original. I took them out and drilled four 3/16 holes in the bottom front corners of them. They dried out within a few days and I never had that problem again. This was back in April when I did this. If you drill the holes in the right spots you cant even see them once they are reinstalled back on the car.

? Did you drill all 4 holes in the bottom of the clear lens or 2 in the front of the housing and 2 in the back of the housing obviously on the bottom? it didn't crack or split the plastic??
