alright so i wanna get a set of cobra r's for my 98 gt, but i HATE how the rear tires are not flush with the fenders. makes the rear look so fucking retarded, so i wanted to bring then out to the fender almost like they look with a deep dish rim?? is there somesort of shim i can put between the rim and my rotors??? and if i do will the studs still be enough to grab the lug nuts?? im confused as to how it works because iv seen cobra r's on the car both ways...
You could run a spacer, maybe 1/4" or 3/8" with those wheels. Where its a 9" wheel though you may need a bigger spacer. I run 10.5's on my car with a 3/8" spacer and longer wheel studs. Its flush with the rear 1/4's, but I have IRS and a solid axle may set the rims different.
