?'s about my mass air meter

i have an 89 with a 306 in it. it has a 70 mm bbk tb. this car used to be supercharged but when i bought the car it was no longer in it. they put the stock air box in it with the stock rubber piping. i think the air meter is also back to stock. how do i know if this is stock or if it is still upgraded. if its stock what do i need to get for a meter. the car has 70 mm tb and 30# injectors. any help wou;d be great thanks guys

Your meter has to match or near match your injectors,so if it runs good ,don't mess with your meter unless you have something else in mind.

looks like a C&L 80mm with stock electronics( or whatever u call it). PROBLY only tuned for 19lb's unless you have a chip in the computer...those are 30lbs injectors.

i dont really know what all that will put out for hp but it does have some sac. but anyways is there anyway to be able to tell what it has i was reading on a site selling meters they say that the meter is for a cobra 75mm for 19 or 24# injectors it will work for either. but they also go ahead and say that i can get a chip in my computer and use that meter. just with the different chip

C&L meters use stock electronics , but use calibration tubes to match injectors . There should be markings on the tube ... I think they are color coded . Find out what color you have in the meter and reference it on C&L 's web site .
On a final note 30's are to big for your set up in my opinion . 24's would work better ... for drivability and response . Also your car should be around 290 rwhp with that combo .

x2 thats around the power i thought the car should have and 24's would deff be better for that car

I could be wrong but i thought i checked your car out at plymouth that night. I didnt notice the heads. if you recently put the heads on that could be why its running different. And you should make signifignatly more power with those heads over stock.

I havent been on the site yet but im getting the. Im also going to be putting a supercharger back on the car, or a twin turbo setup. Not really sure what i want. But the 30's will be fine for those setups let me know what you think i should do for boost. Thanks again for the help

if your gonna supercharge or turbo your car youll need 42lb injectors, matching mass air meter,255 intank fuel pump and an inline pump as well

i saw the car today..def has aluminum heads i just dont know what kind.. 30# injectors are good enough for a small supercharger but not a turbo setup.

30's will work for low boost( no more than 10 ) with an FMU . If it were me I would drop in the 42's and at least a 75 mm meter calibrated to work with the forced induction.. when you get it . It's not just matching inj. to the meter .... if you read into them they are calibrated to work with cold air kits or blower , turbo combo's .
