The gov't has no business getting involved in the automakers or the financial sector or any part of the private sector at all. Next you will see salaries regulated, bonuses regulated, etc. Basically the gov't will tell us what to eat, wear, drive, buy, how much we can make, etc. We will all be like robots.
He is also adding gov't control to too much of the private sector. He has no right taking control of GM. If they fail they fail, thats capitalism. Wall street is the same thing. Obama may clean house, but ti will not be to the nation's benefit. He is cleaning house to institute more gov't control which is not how capitalism or democracy work.
Since when is it the responsibility of the President of the U.S. to run all the companies? It is up to the stock holders (the rightful owners) to fire the CEO or any board member.

Exactly, the president and the gov't have no right getting involved in the private sector. Now the federal gov't is the primary shareholder so they do have a say, but they had no right buying it. Gov't has no place in the private sector. This is the start of socialism/marxism/communism whatever you wnat to call it.
