H-Pipe hanging too low all of a sudden...

So I cannot have a passenger in my car without scraping my exhaust on the FLAT GROUND! If I go over the crown of the road, or if I hit a MINOR bump I scrape my H-Pipe. I looked at it, and the owner before me cut the hangers off the H-Pipe. Now I never had an issue with this before and I am running 4 cyl springs in the rear and cut one loop off the front springs to give me the stance I want. It was fine for about 2 weeks, but I think the springs settled down now, but its horrible because I cannot enjoy driving due to the metal on pavement sound.

So, I think im going to buy the Pypes 409 Stainless steel 2-peice o/r X-Pipe from AmericanMuscle.com (http://www.americanmuscle.com/pypes-7995-50-or-xpipe.html).

My only concern is that it is a 2 peice mid-pipe and from the picture on the website appears to not have hangers. I need to get my exhaust tucked up to the body.

What should I do?

Did you try losening the after cat exhaust and header flang bolts and pushing the H-pipe up tighter to the body ? Once you get it where you want it just retighten .
If the exhaust is up as far as it can go with out hitting the floor boards and it still scrapes ... you might consider V-8 spec springs .

Welcome to the world of a lowered Mustang. I drag my exhaust all the time and I drag my subframe connectors sometimes when I go over speed bumps. I have Edelbrocks 2" drop springs.

Oh believe me i know the world of lowered mustangs... before I put these springs in, I was running eibach sportlines which dropped the car 2" all around and even then I could clear most roads and never scrapped unless it was a huge bump, but I think because my car is sitting lower in the front then the back my front is actually lower than it was with the sportlines so that is more than likely my problem.

My h-pipe is mangled from being slammed off the ground repeatedly at speed so Im just going to go ahead an order a new mid-pipe.

My delema now is whether to go with the Pypes X-pipe from AmericanMuscle.com for 169.00 (http://www.americanmuscle.com/pypes-7995-50-or-xpipe.html)

OR

to get a UPR X-pipe off of Ebay(http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1989-90-91-FORD-MUSTANG-OFF-ROAD-X-PIPE-EXHAUST-BOLT-ON_W0QQitemZ300313333754QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMotors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories?hash=item45ec11cffa&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245&_trkparms=72%3A1171%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318) for 109.00...

Both are 2 peice mid-pipes, but in different ways... Which one would you get?

you need to get a sticker that says "too low for a fat ho" and put it on your car will solve the problem

I hear using zip ties will bring it right back to where it needs to be....and they're heat resistant too!
