Hey, I am headed to the track probably next Wednesday. My mods are as listed: JLT CAI, Bamachips 93 octane race tune, ford racing 4.10 gears, borla axleback, true dual midpipe, magnaflow high flow cats, and brand new Nitto 555 tires. (245-45-17).
Last October I went to the track without the 4.10's on stock pirellis that were pretty bald. The temperature was fairly cold probably in the 40s. My best was 13.5. My worst run was 13.8. Also my car is an automatic. I'm hoping to JUST break into 12's hopefully hitting 12.9. Do you guys think this is possible with what I got in the car?
ya i dont think 12s is poissible without atleast any other bolt ons seems as u dont have to mucch done , i have all bolt ons 4;10s etc etc and i dont think i will hit 12s if i did hit 12s it owuld be VERY high 12s lol
i think it's doable with the s197's. 50resto.com did one as a project and hit 12's with nothing more then a tuner, 4.10 gears, and a CAI. the car was a 5 speed though.
i think you'll at least be in the low low 13's with what you've got done.
shit i cant even get into the mid 13's and i have more stuff done maybe it cuase i was running to low of tire pressure on street tires but more power to you if you can do it

I don't see it happening. Maybe if you were running a full slick and dumping it at a high rpm. The drag radials just won't cut it. Take out all the weight you can before you run. Just practive each time at a higher rpm. I know the fox body stock motor 12's guys dump around 5 grand and powershift over 5 grand in each gear.
Weight is really going to be a problem for you. Don't get frustrated.
