My car is a 00 GT with a 2V and a 5spd. I really want to do heads and cams this summer and i was looking at patriot stage 2 but I hear alot of ppl say that there junk. This is my daily driver so I dont want anything too crazy but I def want good power!
So what would you guys recomend for heads/cams?

I wouldn't recomend the Patriot's .... Have heard that they have had valve guide probs and the machining quality is not the greatest . I bought the stage 2's from Fox Lake for the 02 GT I had and was not very happy with them . Because the ports are machined so thin that one cracked after just 500 miles and allowed coolant into my fresh forged engine . Ron @ Fox Lake did honor it somewhat .... but he didn't cover the time and cost of having to take the engine apart to replace the damaged head . Being your daily driver I would recomend leaving the stock heads alone and just buy some stage 1 cams and add a power adder of your choice . I beleive Vortech is selling a kit for your car for only 2500. Which is not far off price wise from the heads ..... plus will make much more power and sound cool to boot ! I know I liked my car much better when it was stock with just a blower . It made 390 rwhp on only 10#'s and the drivability was like stock .... until I mashed the throttle !! Plus the car was much more dependable . On a final note .... if you ever( God forbid ) total the car or sell it you can just remove the blower kit for another car ...or sell it . Can't do that with the heads .
