so for 2 weeks now I have been claling and posting about this with no solid answer.
who has, or knows someone that has a c4. what size are the fittings that go into the cooler lines?!?!?!?!?!
Ive been told
1/8" npt
1/8" straight thread
1/8-27
1/8" nps
Im about done w/ this. its just kinda weird how none of these people know shit about their transmissions. only 1 is right. the others must have dont it wrong or not done it themselves. instead of looking for this bullshit the last 2 weeks I could have been tossing the car together.
and btw...I have 1/8" npt fittings here....they go in about 2.5 threads by hand then get tight and I didnt want to tighten before I knew an answer.
also, Ive been told it needs to have an o-ring on the fitting....who the fuck knows

In my old V-8 Pinto days when I used the C-4 20 years ago. I ran either 1/8" or 1/4" (I can't remember) pipe plug fittings with a 5/16" inverted flare. Then I used 5/16" hard steel brake line to the cooler. They are definetly Pipe threads or N.P.T. as most people call them. Pipe threads are tapered. That is why when you screwed in your fittings they only went 2 1/2 turns. They tighten up because they are tapered. Put some sealer on them and tighten them up. Don't tighten them too tight. Just go snug. If you go too tight you can crack the tranny case.
