I'm trying to figure out what will work good with my set up. I accumilated a few parts that Im putting on this Spring. I've found an original upper and lower Cobra manifold. 70mm tb, 24lb injectors 73mm meter calibrated for 24lb, and shorty bbk headers. I'm hoping to somehow gather up some money for a cam and possibly heads.
If I don't have enough money for heads then what cam would go with this set up? I'm looking for mid to upper range hp cause I don't have much power in my top end. I'm only trapping like 96 to 97 at the drags.
I also might be looking for a newer rebuilt or good running transmission (T5) cause I think mines going to shit. I currently have 390 gears but I think I"m switching 373s. I also have full exhaust. My suspension is stock and also needs a minor upgrade as well. Jesus, I have too much on my list already.
With E7 heads,power goes off a cliff at 5500 rpm so without a head change dont bother trying to build power above that.Stay with the bolt ons for now,in my opinion the power,if any gained with just a cam change isnt worth the labor. Save your pennies & do heads and cam together. Unless you do alot of highway driving,leave 3.90's in there...they'll be utilized when heads/cam are done.
