My name is John and I am from the southeastern CT region. I have a Red Gen1 Lightning truck that I have been racing since new. I have probably met a few of you local guys during either Fun Ford events at New England dragway (NH) or Fords at Etown (NJ)
I came across this board while doing a search for local engine builders in our area. Starting this year my Lightning gets a rest from daily driver duties/snow, as I bought a 2008 Adrenalin. Once I find a trailer, the adrenalin will be my tow vehicle. As for now, it gets me through the snow.
Hi Jim, yes I have looked into CREBs, I think I spoke to the guy a while back via Ebay. When I am ready I will probably call him since he is kinda local to me. My motor is still going strong though the mileage is high. I am actaully not far from RI.
I actually have quite a few videos of races over the years. The last one someone sent me was a race against a 11 sec mustang....it was not pretty. I have a few videos on Youtube also, just use Gen1 Lightning as search words.
I have been to a car few shows to include one up your way at a Ford dealership near Boston, I usually try to attend Mustangs Unlimited shows , spring round up and such. I have been in the military for over 20 yrs so you can imagine my weekends are full. I am glad to met you guys, I am sure I will see you at the events. I think this site will be a great source of info for events and such. Thanks John
