need more guys back on here more often like Rob, look at the tech section from 8 months ago and you'll get the picture. you cant beat the years of experience.
i love this site i am on here all day long even at work. i have meet alot of people and have made friends with them. it is just not a site it is a family where we have meets and partys. we go to the track as a group most of all is the connections that are made with other groups and people on this site

Thanks for the input, wehter good or bad it all helps. To answer some Q's... People must contribute because no one really has the 45.00 a month to dig out, expecialy with the economy the way it is now, reguardless, if they site is a great site, someone enjoys it, they'll contribute.
The ad free means no pop-ups. not the gay por ads or what not on the top or whereever. The ads you see we put there to generate revenue to pay for the website, hopefuly generate enough to save up for shirts, stickers or other articles of clothing, or even to rent out the track for a day. MMR and I negotiated and that was the end result.
Burnouts.... yes we all love em, I agree they get old... quick,... coming this new year we will be doing our best to have more meets, cruises, race events, hanging out, instead of all burnouts, plus, that seems to be bringing the bad name on, however, I AM NOT SAYING THERE WILL BE NONE OR THAT WE WILL HAVE NO FUN.
There will be less deleting of posts, we will work together and do what we think is best.
As far as some clowns on here, yes there are some, they will be weeded out as needed.... you know who you are.
we hope everyone can understand the changes we will be undergoing and stick with us as I believe once and for all, we can turn this around.
with 2009 here, it is now a new year, as well as many new changes to come, for the better.

Have you thought about moving the site to something cheaper. How much bandwith and how big is the site? $45 sounds like a lot for a forum that has no uploading or anything on it.
We have thought about it. As for now this is the best deal. I as well as Jim have searched around and we like the one we have, however if the right one comes along we may decide to change it. For now it will remain activeboard

I've made some friends on this site. I can't participate as much as I used to due to because of being blocked at work. I've been with this site almost from the beginning up through it's heyday and have watched it steadily decline. How does the Corral with 20,000 members run so effortlessly & with 400,we are a complete shitshow???? It comes down to powers that be...(everyone) also members being respectful of others. Alot of people like to run off at the mouth behind a monitor but wouldn't do it at a meet why?????? Why bring drama to the site? Can this site be turned around????? of course it can...but it WONT happen until EVERYONE is on the same page and it starts at the top. Jim, you pick moderators based on trust & level headedness....so TRUST them!!!! IF there is an issue,pick up a phone,post in mod room or whatever. In-fighting between president and a mod in open forum in inexcusable. I hate to sound like a broken record but I been saying this for over a year! Maybe it's me that's off base...Christ...Faith tells me I'm nuts everyday.

I just wanna say this site is awesome,ive been a member for a good while. However like everyone else has said there has been drama over some lame shit thats got nothing to do with anything important brought here before for no reason. I've met alot of cool people here and got hooked up with a lot good parts from people on this site. I just gotta agree with Rob and say we just gotta straighten some stuff out if we wan't to successfully move forward, and not drive like complete assholes on every meet we go to so were targeted as assholes by the public.....I like to mess around in my car just as much or more than the next guy but theres a time a place for everything...and the highway just isn't one of them....that just my opinion

We will have other meets this year other then sitting in a mall parking lot. Our meets and cruises won't be focused on burnouts. Thats where the negative shit about us happens. Cruises wont be raising hell... simply cruising. I don't see the huge rush or excitment out of burnouts.
I think more cruises where we all stop at more than one place and chill for a half hour or so is fine, but keep jumping to different spots if possible.

im into my notch for over 15000 in parts not labor so my car is a shit box fox?rob has almost the same setup as me and his car is worth all the money he wants so fuck off and keep it to yor self and ill say it at a meet as well as on here

Asking a price like that I'd have no choice but to assume your either A: high, B:mentally challenged, or C: not really interested in selling the car so you priced well about what its worth.

Are you that rubber on craigslist who wants 15000 for his 500 hp D1 fox body on a stock shortblock? Now thats someone out of his mind.
You have 15000 in parts in your car? If these cars are worth as much as you claim why do they sit on classified for months and not sell, but the lower priced ones get gobbled up in a day.
I hope you are running at least single digit 1/4 miles times for that much into the car. Its cool you think they are worth so much, but for shits and giggles put them up online and see if you get anyone serious buyers come down with money. I can answer it you wont'. Don't use the economy as an excuse either. They haven't been selling for that much in years.

I for one Like this site.. I too have been here a little after it started, and enjoy being on here.. I've met a lot of cool people and have made some new friends on here who share the passion for mustangs etc. I plan on sticking around one way or another.. The other thing that's been told is there is always going to be some punk stirring sh*t up.. It's the internet, and therefore there is no way to stop it, so it's one of those things where you just have to try and Ignore, and let the Mods handle them. I do agree that we NEED MORE Tech. I don't mind searching other sites, but it does make it more simple for all of us to have a designated spot to find tech.. I have brought up an Idea to have a "Write-Up" Section in tech for those who are installing or modding there cars to show everyone a step by step procedure on how to do certain things, and that too can be very helpful. I believe that may be in the "Works" in the near future, don't take my word for it just yet, but that would be pretty cool. I also Agree that we need more meets and now that it's 2009 this will be a fresh new start, and I'm sure most if not all the bugs will be worked out. Nuff said I'm done.

yeah andys right thats gay both ed and robs cars are fuckin nasty and really clean cars for sure. We all gotta figure out how to make this better as a whole but to be honest i dont want it to be shut down. Like i said in my last post in this thread I have met alot of good people on this site and look forward to comming home and seeing whats new and how everyones doing. All of you guys that i talk to are good dudes so hopefully we can straighten things out and move forward....
I'm going through some really bad times right now .. I still pop on here now and then .... Just not as much as I used too . Having stated that... I've had my share of drama on here and learned to not feed into it anymore . These places are for opinions ..good , bad , or indifferent. Thats just the way it is !! Not everyone is going to agree !!! If they did it would be pretty boring .. I love the site !! keep up the good work !! As for the tech section ... I don't know what some of you expect ! Some guys think there problems can be diagnosed over a computer forum by telling them exactly what to do . All your gonna get is a basic direction to go look for the problem and handle it . If some of you want exact procedures and specs then go by a book !! I spent alot of time and money learning the things I have and there is only so much anyone should expect for free ....

Ive only been a member for about 3 months and ive gone to the north shore meet and the end of the year meet, I had a blast and everyone that i talked to was cool! We all have atleast one thing in common...... MUSTANGS! I know I def dont want to see this site get shut down, IMO I think Jim and all the mods are doing a awesome job keeping this site going, im sure its not easy! Im looking forward to this summer so i can participate in more events, meet new people and make some new friends. I myself LOVE doing burnouts but i do agree that there is a time and a place for everything because once you get a bad rep its nothing but trouble from there! I will proudly rock the BOSTONSTANGS logo on the back window of my car this summer! Keep up the good work guys!
