I'm thinking about moving, and need some input on location to keep it short here are the important things:
1. I hate paper thin walls (a single unit would be awesome, it's just finding one) 2. I work in Lincoln, want to be close to work, 45 min max, close = better 3. I hate traffic, especially the traffic I hit on 95, it makes me want to cry every night when I drive home. (PM traffic is more important than AM traffic because I start later than most) 4. I just started my own business, meaning I'm broke, so $1300/month tops for rent. 5. I have a dog, I claim she's a 45 lbs and a lab mix (hell I'll even claim 40...) 0 : ) so they have to accommodate her. (She's actually about 70 lbs and a rottie pit x, but SHHH... she looks small and kinda like a lab...) 6. My friend and I are possibly renting together, she works in Bedford, Ma (middlesex turnpike, rt 62 area)
So I would love any input on good locations to look into. Carlisle is my ideal area, cause I like being close to parks for the pup and whatnot, but there is almost nothing for rent there.
Also, my friend really likes Lowell, and some people are like don't live there it's a cesspool and others say its a lot nicer than most people think, and I won't die if I have to walk my dog at 2 am cause she has to pee... so insight on Lowell would be super.
And most importantly... if some one literally hands me the house/apartment I rent I will bake them cupcakes, and ask Paul, I make awesome cupcakes...
Check out craigslist. With a recession and high unemployment people can't rent their places for an overpiced fee every month anymore. Lots of complexes are including all utilities or at least heat/hot water to try to get units filled. You still the crackheads asking 12-1300 for a 2 bedroom nothing included, but they don't ever get a tenant.
