I dunno I just don't believe anythings going to happen.. We'll all be fine.. sure I've read up on it before, and some of the shit sounds interesting, but come on now, it sounds like something out of a Sci-Fi movie.. I guess it's all in what you believe in, but to each there own.. Sure I believe in god, but I just don't think something like that catastrophic is going to happen.
i dont think the world is going to end.....but in the event of nuclear war or some sort of major catastrophe happens i wouldn't be surprised if we witness a third of the population wiped out. i also believe we as human are like fleas to the earth....dont worry about the earth it will take car of its self. if it doesnt like us it will shake us off just fine.
The Magnetic fields on the Sun are due to shift that day as they do every 11 or so years, but this time, our Sun will be in the center of the Milky Way, which only happens every 26,000 years or so. I have also seen something about the Earth's magnetic field switching as well.
There is also an ancient Chinese calendar that ends on that day that is totally unrelated to the Mayan calendar.
We'll just have to wait and see if anything happens.
I also just saw on the news the other day that there is supposed to be a huge solar flare predicted for Dec. 2012 that is supposed to take out all electrical grids and satellite's around the world . Just 3 years to go !!!
i highly doubt the worlds gonna end in 3 years they would make huge deals about it i think if the world was to end it would be to us humans our own worst enemies with all these nucleuer bombs and shit, but i live everyday like it was your last thats all u can do

Actually what was supposed to happen in 2000 was everyone thought that all computers around the world were going to shutdown . Because at the time computers couldn't keep an operating time or date past Dec. 31'st 2000. So the theory was that the computers would just shut down and cause problems , but not the end of the world !!
As for 2012 ... I think that a significant occurance is going to happen around that time . There is just to much Scientific evidence .... Most of it points to a Galactic event of some kind that will initiate some kind of major climate change . What that will be... who knows ? I highly doubt the planet is going to explode or people are going to melt !!! But something more like a major climate change that could cause major disasters wiping out some of the worlds population through famine ,flooding , and disease .
