Hey guys im just wondering what set up i should run on my 97 GT, and should i go with an H or X for best sound and preformance. just let me know what you think.

hey guys!, x pipe is better, NOW for the " not loud quote" your x pips not the problem, its that you have magnaflows. I PERSONALLY LIKE THEM. but there a straight through design. to pick up the sound you'd have to put on chamberd mufflers, like flowmaster or mac ect., but they dont flow as well on a flow bench. its a balance act between sound and performance.
Personally I think an X-pipe sounds better than an H-pipe but its all personal preference.
If your looking for obnoxious loud, do an X-pipe with an SLP Catback. SLP Loud Mouth 1's are extremely loud, however the Loudmouth 2's are slightly quieter however they are in no ways quiet.
If SLP's arn't to your liking, Try a Magnaflow Magnapack catback.
Go on youtube.com or mustangexhaust.com and you can listen to all kinds of exhaust combo's.

with a cam i found it sounds better at idle with an h pipe but at higher revs a x sounds better performance i havent seen um on a dyno but ive ran both and i dont feel a differance and on a stock car i dont think any exhuast make a huge differance power wise but its a muscle car you gotta hear it and i personaly like slps but i seem to be alone with that
