Nitrous Advice?? ANYONE??


Alright guys whatsup, heres what im thinking, i really want to put a nitrous kit in my car (jims oldcar) what do you think would be the best kit for the car... not looking for nothing crazy and not much experiance with nitrous so im just trying to get into it.... im getting a kit either way so a little advice would be great lol.... the car mods are in my bio so let me know what you think would work best with the motor..... like wet dry? what does what??... just looking for a little info thanks alot guys any info will help.....nossmashfreakB

from what i hear the wet kits are easy to tune and less likely to pop the motor

def a wet kit go with nitrous works they have good stuff and they make a kit that goes between throttle body and egr spacer

go wet. i didnt read your bio info, but if its stock pistons and what not, i personally wouldnt go above 125 shot. Thats only because i am poor, and couldnt afford a new setup :D

WOT Switch
Window Switch
FPSS

WOT - Wide Open Throttle Switch. It is placed inline with your arming switch, FPSS, and any other safety devices to activate your nitrous. This can be placed either near the throttle body or a momentary push button underneath the gas pedal for a stealth install.

Window Switch - Another wonderful (shouldn't be without) safety device. A must for a M6. It also installs inline with your FPSS, WOT, arming swithch, etc. The window switch does excatly what it says, it is a window for your nitrous to activate. Example. If you have you window switch setup for 3k and 6k, then the nitrous will only activate between those RPM's. It will come on at 3k and automatically shut off at 6k. (Providing it is wired correctly.) Some use pills while others just use dials or dip switches to set the corresponding RPM.

FPSS- Fuel Pressure Safety Switch. This is a simple little part that is very important to have on any/all nitrou systems IMHO. Basically it just senses fuel pressure going to the fuel solenoid and if the pressure drops to an unsafe level it will shut down the nitrous system before severe damage occurs.

My brother has this kit. If you have a stock bottom end you don't want to spray more than a 150 shot.

i like the nitrous express gemini plate it goes between the intakes and the kits bout 1000$
but nx kits are rated at rwhp i have heard from mike dez from dez racing alot of nx kits
say a 150 shot can come out to being 150-170 more rwhp so its no joke but make sure everything is legit if not thats why nitrous gets a bad wrap if not tuned ,i think luke is sprayin 150 shot and in the 11s talk to him

i have a ZEX wet fogger kit waiting install. it comes with the little brain box that is a WOT switch basically. it measures ur tps voltage so it knows when it is WOT. but i want a window switch b 4 i install it. but i will be prob going with just a 100 shot.
