Buyin new tires soon need a little advice

ok so i need new tires my fronts are worn bad on the out side due to bad tire-rods/steering rack. got thoes fixed. my rears are like half worn nitto drag radials so they will need to be replaced soon n e ways.

ok i was searching tire rack and did a bunch of comparisons and found these to be the best for the money. $135 for the fronts and $150 for the rears each. Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Dunlop&tireModel=Direzza+Sport+Z1+Star+Spec&vehicleSearch=false&partnum=445WR7Z1SS&fromCompare1=yes&place=2

my question is will a 235/45/17 be fine on a 17x9 rim? i know that the with of the 235 is 9.25in wide. i assume its ok but i wanted to check.

and for the rear im going 255/40/17. i would like to go 265 or 275 but they are not offered in that tire...

basically the 235/45/17 is a 25.3" tall tire and the 255/40/17 is a 25" tall.

i have 255/40/17 all around but my fronts rub a bit at full lock so i figured a little skinner would be good.

tell me what you guys think. and if any of you ran these tires before let me kno how they are. thanx

265/40/17

you need a 40 series in the front or taller rear tire

i saw those but they rnt as good and i want matching tires. the z1s are better than the z101s

the 265/40/17 would be the same height as the 235/45/17 but i the .3" difference shouldn't make much of a difference.

but the reviews on the z1s vs the z101s are much better. they have an overall rating of 7.8 vs 6.37.

if the 235/40 in the front would be a 24.4 tall tire which is .6" under so the .3" over is closer

To be honest with you, If I were buying tires, I would get the BF Goodrich T/A KDW2... On that same site, the 235/40/17 is $148.00 and the 255/40/17 is $157.00

Here is a link to tire. I would go this route over a dunlop. The BF Goodrich is best in wet/dry performance plus the tread on them looks killer! check them out...

My 2 Cents... - Jay
