Went to NED last night

Well I tried it again but no luck getting into 13s. I'm still trying to get the launch down but it takes more than a few times when you're trying to learn on new tires with the correct air pressure ect... They are still streets though but they hooked up ok.
60' 2.028
330 5.925
1\8 9.139
MPH 77.47
1000 11.932
1\4 14.279
MPH 97.56

I also had a passenger with me which sucked because he got kicked out of my friends car for going faster than 13.9. So I'm hoping next time I'll hit the 13s by myself.

It was cool to meet a couple of the forum guys down there as well.

I only met 2. Andy was suppose to but had too much to do at home which is understandable. I don't know if anyone else was there earlier than me cause I got there kinda late trying to finish up some stuff around the house.

It was def a good night to make some runs. Wasn't too busy. I only got 3 in because I got there at 730 and while getting in line they take there hard earned break which drives me fucking nuts. Then I took a break when I found some forum guys.

I think I'm going to go one more time this year and to make sure Im by myself this time. Just trying to think of what mod I can do that's cheap as I'm getting broke from my addition to house.

Anyone have any ideas for a cheap mod that'll be worth it. Everything is over $500. I already have an electric fan from a chevy celebrity lol.

dont waste your time or money on the dry kit, with a dry kit its too easy to lean out and go BOOM. if you grab a wet kit you can safely run a 150 shot if not a 200...just make sure you have traction first or its pointless. I'd look for some cheap drag radials, you saw what was happening to me at the track that night...maybe some control arms, or the drag bag its like 40$ you put it in your spring and pump it up spreads the weight to the other tire on the launch so they are on a more even keel

I'm pretty sure I won't be able to afford them right now. I've got too much of my money going into my house. All I have is a few fox items to trade.

what exactly do you have done to your car? how about some free hp? whats your timing at? a few degrees there will help you also i'm assuming your car is fuel inj. have you tried taking out your pass. side head light and open your air box, unless you already have a cold air intake with the filter in ther fender.the more air you get to the intake the better. this will give you a ram air effect and might give you a tenth and maybe a mph or two. its worked for me in the past. you could also try running a short belt and bypass the ps. its a bitch to turn but thats also some free hp. also some dr's or et streets, and launch that thing. GOOD LUCK! holeshot

I only have a few bolt ons. Mainly exhaust and 390 gears. I'd def go with drag radials but don't have the funds as of now. My timing is already set at 14*. I think if i"m running by myself next time and get 1.9 60 I should be in the 13.9 range. But at this time of year the track might be too cold for traction though.

yeah if you only have street tires, theres only so much you can do. go around the water and back up to it, just do a little burnout just to clean off the tires and get them warm, then practice riding the clutch out of the hole. and def go down alone, try the headlight trick too, every little bit helps. keep us posted, good luck.
