swap the distributor out with a known good one. do a wiggle test on the wiring harness, and make sure your ecm is not toast...also check all the fuseable links near the starter solenoid i fried mine 10 minutes after putting my blower on

fuseable links can go for manny reasons the car is almost 20 yrs old i dont know why mine went but when i was ripping up and down the road i had blown the fusable link to the ecm about 5 minuets into the ride

got a distributor from bonz today put it in with my msd box bypassed and it fired right up let it warm up rev it a lil bit then it starts to idle around 2500 so i shut it off and plug my msd box in and then it wont start it turns over but nothing. im thinkin that my msd box might be toasting the pick up in the distributor but its a brand new msd btm box. i tried a different tfi on my old distributor and that didnt work either guess im gunna have to look at my fuseable links. those are the wires that have think rubber around them is wat one of my friends said is this true? thanks

If you popped a fusible link ..that circuite would be dead . It isn't gonna work again after things cool down . You will have to replace that section of wire .
Sound like it might be a relay or you have something wired wrong . Check all connections and wires for melting or screws or bolts pinching and possibly grounding out .
Get yourself a haynes manual and follow the procedure for testing for spark . You should be able to trace down the problem with out just throwing parts at it .
I know on MSD's web site there is a diagnoses section that tells you how to test the MSD box to see if it is working . I'm not good with links ...Sorry !!
