what is wrong with my car?

when driving at low speeds car jerks and seems like it bogs down , when i give it steady gas it clears and doesn't jerk/bog as much , if i'm driving in afternoon traffic doing between 10-35 with little gas pedal seems to be the problem and it is fucking annoying !!!almost makes me want to say fuck this thing , it is carbed not fuel inj. , any idea's or help would be great , i want to go to the big meet but don't feel like dying on the side of the road. thanks , chris oh yeah and sometimes when i'm driving along and downshift into 3rd it tends to backfire out of the carb lol please help!!!

I would say it sounds like your carb is not properly adjusted
sounds like way to much fuel
maybe your floats leek and flood out the car
but at higher speed there not enough time to for it to load up..

deff check timing and firing order

Check your plugs and see if it is loading up . If you have a Holley carb you might have a bad powervalve . It is located in the front floatbowl . All it takes is one good backfire through the carb and it is junk . What will happen then is the carb will dump excess fuel and cause a rich condition at part throttle . Also back firing or sneezing through the carb is usually a sighn of a valve problem . Could have a bad valve or week valve springs . Could be timing , but if it didn't do it before and it just started doing it then I would say probably not the timing .
