Hi, my name is Kevin and I specialize in rebuilding ford 7.5,8.0,8.8,9.0,9.75 especially 8.8's. I have spent alot of money buying the correct factory tools and I take great pride in rebuilding these rearends. I have built over 300+ rearends and I have never had any comebacks (knock on wood fast). When I rebuild a rearend I suggest replacing all of the bearings ( carrier, pinion(inner and outer),axle bearings and seals. I also use royal purple fully synthetic oil. I set everything to torque spec and clean and inspect everything. I even sandblast your cover and paint it. I only charge $200 for a gear change and an extra $50 to do all the bearings.so all together a normal rearend rebuild should cost around $250. I also always check the patterns. If you have any questions or concerns please contact myself or notchdan. Thank you for taking your time to read this. Kevin
Hi I am located in Whitman Ma and I could have it done in a day and yes I do work the weekends.I would have to check my tuning guy so I could update your computer for the gear change, not a lot extra. Thanks again, Kevin
kevin does great work..i had him put ford motorsport 3.73s in my car with all new bearings and everything. theres no whine or anything coming from it. also, i had it powdercoated at high temperature coatings in whitman too, heres a picture of it when it was being put in:
Kevin built the rear in my 02 Saleen. He does excelent work, I had the rear done at a different shop before Kevin did it and it was horrible, Kevin made it perfect and not a sound comes from it now, I have done some other work with Kevin before and he is very metclious, he goes through everything 3x and makes sure it is right. He also has all the right tools to do the Ford rear ends which makes thing that much better, unlike the other guys who guess at it Kevin has the gaugues and tools for it all. I would recomned him to anyone.
Mike stick with the 3:73's. with w higher gear your going to loose out in MPH. and mike if you want a fresh rebuild and you have decent parts I'll trade you me rebuilding your 8.8 for some parts. what you got.
I could check your rear end out anytime this week, if the metal particals got inot the gears or bearings we could be talking more problems. But don't get nervous, I have about 200 (not kidding) posi-center sections with good spiders and I would suggest putting new carrier bearings and extra clutches in it to make it reliable. I would sell you one of these units for $30 dollars and I would install it for $75. Ford racing sells there best clutch packs for 101.95 on summitt. part #. fms-m-4700-c. And spiders are like 100 or so bucks from ford so my center section would probably be the cheapest way out. I can also check for you tommorrow about carbon fiber clutch packs and how much. Thanks again and hope forward to hear from you. Kevin 781-844-4597
kevin came over last week to rebuild the rear end in my car and install new gears took it for a ride tonight...... YEA HOLY SICK..... that thing sang to me before.....i'd put money on it that the rearend makes less if at all any noise now then it did from the factory.... took his time to set the backlash and pinion depths.... perfect job and not expensive either.... I tip my hat to him that kid is my new hero.....im tellin ya he knows what he's doin unlike some of us.... do it once do it right don't try to save 20 dollars trust me you'll get what you pay for..... Thanks kev...
KEVIN IS THE SHIT WHEN REBUILDING GEARS i towed my car from ri to whitman MA just because i heard he was great installing gears. that was a 70 mile tow. I am glad i made the right choice. not only did he do a great job he let me watch and showed me exactly what he was doing. try finding a shop that would let you do that!!!!! another plus is that he has the propper tools from FORD. I seen them they say FORD on them.....
i will recommend and keep going back to kevin

Again Kevin's a pro. He rebuilt my posi and changed my gears from 390s to 373s with no problems whatsoever! It was cool hanging out for a few hours meeting some of your Mark7 crew lol. Even though it took me about 2 hours to drive down, it was worth it. Thanks bro!
Hay kev its rob i was wondering if you could check the 8.8 in my cobra ? The rotor seems to hit the caliper bracket and squeals like crazy under torque help me broham..
