ya so the kid who bought my old red car like 2 yrs ago calls me and says his timing chain snapped. We rip the thing apart and come to find out, the little dowl on the end of the cam snapped off. I have never seen this before. The motor turns over fine, so ik it didnt seize up..anyways hes gonna try to drill out the end of the cam, hammer a bigger dowel in and call it a day lol! I told him i will have no part of it and good luck haha

I've seen it like that before. Sometimes if the cam sprocket bolt loosens up the sprocket rocks back and forth and snaps the dowel pin. I've also seen it if the cam siezes in the block. The same thing will occur. He better check the heads out too, he might have bent valves.

haha ya well well watever happend, he bent 4 valves in his edelbrock head
