I just blew my head gasket over the weekend and I decided that since I am taking everything off to replace them, I might as well upgrade. I found a site to get some gt 40 heads assembled. so i was wondering if anyone knows what I have to do about getting new rockers and pushrods. What kind and size I should get.. I drive 88 gt with an E cam...thanks
They bolt right on & you can use your existing pedestal mount rockers if you'd like. Same push rods as well. I'd spring for the extra dough & get a set of aluminum heads though if funds allow.

how much are u paying for the heads??? ur always better off gettin a nice set of alum heads, but if the heads are cheap, there a direct bolt on as long as there not gt40P heads, then ull need the expensive headers to go along with em, wich in that case, get alum. heads for another 200$ btw the e303 cam is a nice match for the gt40 and p heads, they both stop flowing at .500 lift in stock form so the ecam is right there at .498 plus the random 1.4-1.6 rocker ratio that the car came with it equals out to be almost perfect

I talked to some people that have the heads all redone, and I can get them for 500. So I figure it would be pretty good, instead of spending like 1000 or more on some aluminum heads
I'd just save the money for some aluminum heads if you have time. If it's your daily just put some head gaskets on it and be done vs. spending the dough on gt40's. Almost every set of aluminum heads out there will outflow a fully ported set of gt40's

what u say is true, but being summer im shure he wants to have his car running and back together, if he has the money for gt40s, 500$ is steep, but if there totaly rebuilt i guess there ok, i paid 50$ for mine and paid to have them gone through, for the money there definalty worth it, they will make a noticale increase in torque and hp, ull be happy with them just match em with a e or b cam and a nie intake u shuld make good power..by the way 12second5.0 that little comic under your post is fuckin the best thing ive ever seen
