I need an SUV...specifically an Explorer

At least 2004, V8 prefered, for less than 10k bottom line. Anyone know a dealer etc that can hook me up? I have a 99 plymouth breeze with ~100k miles for a trade in.

check the want ad and craigs list....i bet you could steal one from someone eveyone is trying to get rid of them....i know i pd 24k for an f150 i was going to take 12k for it 6 months later......but it ended up hitting a tree at 50 no.gif

I have been checking everywhere. Just thought I would try here too. Seems most people aren't willing to lose that much money unless it is from a dealer. For once the prices are better at used car lots.

Good luck bro !! I have an 04 V-8 explorer I'd love to sell ... However I still owe 14,000. and it only books for 12,000. doggy It only has 52 k on it too ! It costs me about 90.00 to fill it , but it does get pretty good mileage for an 8 cyl. It's silver with grey interior and real clean . I love the truck , but I just don't want the car payments anymore . I couldn't sell it for 10,000. it would just be to much of a beating !!

sounds like filling my f150 both tanks 165 only went 380 miles too

It had a quarter of a tank in it when I left. Oh well. I negotiated 4 new tires in the deal to make up for it.

im pretty sure on a new car they fill the tank for you and a used car they give you a 1/4 tank...but you should def put the mustang motor in the explorer haha...congrats Mike nice look explorer

^^^^ The 4.6 in the explorer is the same engine in the mustang . All you have to do is add dual exhaust and a tune . Then you will have the same horse as what the 99 up stangs came with .

Explorer 4.6L also has an Aluminum block I beleive.
