spark plug wires melting


i have a 93 lx with mac equal length headers i keep melting spark plug wire boots on the driver side last two cylinders i have the motorsport 9.5 wires now need to buy new ones wanted to know if any of you guys have had this happen to you and what kind of wires are you using now thanks

I use MSD wires, you may have to get the protective boots for the 2 end cylinders.

this happens with equal lengths headers they melt the boots and also rub the frame rails when you really get on it and cause them to rust out easier , might what to think about getting new headers like long tubes or unequal length

I had that same problem. Melted wires and rust spot on the frame. I never noticed it rubbing but id assume it was cause the paint was fucked up and it was a little rusty. I got some MSD wires but they were wicked short and sucked worse than my original Ford Racing wires. I got rid of the equals but still havent replaced with my turbo headers yet. Im probly gonna get boots to prevent it from happening again.
