Lighting Problems

Well all my lights used to work...took my dash out to do my heater core and put white face gauges in...put it alll back together...headlights and the lights on the right side of my dash dont work...the steering column is out so allll the wires that connect to the steering column are unplugged...well i checked my headlights bulbs...checked the fuses...looked at most of the wires when i realized the big red and yellow wire that goes to the headlights switch was the same as the one on a connector that goes to the steering column...so i connected it to the steering column and of course the headlights worked...now my question is...could be the same case for the dash lights? cuz there are a TON of wires that get connected to the steering column and it doesnt make sense that they wouldnt work when they did before.....
