i plan on rippin out my emision bullshit and gunna take out the ac so ic an start to put my turbo kit together. had a couple question. i want to run the ford racing bracket that moves the power steering up and remove the smog pump. wondering wat size belt to use. also can i rip out all the 1/8 inch plumbing lines for the emisions and the control with wires coming out behind the strut tower on pass side thanks for any info
Yes you can rip out the piping. But you are going to have to put thermactor plugs or larger bolts in the back of the heads. if you get the ac delete and smog delete. just get a belt for non ac 5.0. amd yes you can remove the tad and tad sensors, just block off any vacuum lines you dont use. and cut the pipe at the converters low and plug it.
hey guys, im also going to be doing a ford ac delete, and bypassing the smog... i saw 3 different belt sizes... just wondering if you guys have pulleys? if so, do you have crank, water, and alt or no alt... etc? just want to get the same belt as someone with the exact set up because i have pulleys but no ALT pulley.
also, do i even need to use the waterpump pulley? or is it just like the ALT pulley ... just there to use a stock belt?
i did the ford ac delete (moves Power steering pump up in its place), took my smog pump out, and put on summit underdrive pullies. I am running a 73.5 inch belt and it works mint.
