347 stroker parts list

Here's the story....I'm pulling the stock long block out of my 93 and swapping a 347 in there. I plan on transplanting the blower too. My goal is about 475rwhp

Right now I'm mapping out what I'm going to need to get the entire bottom end complete...everything minus heads, intake, fuel rails/injectors, etc. Let me know what I'm missing

-302 block (washed and honed)
-Eagle forged 347 stroker kit
-Stock oil pan and pick up
-Oil pan gasket
-FRPP F-cam
-COMP Cams double roller timing set
-Edelbrock timing chain cover
-ARP hardware

Then i'll take the serpentine system off the 93, the balancer off the 93, and a couple other misc parts.

What am I missing? Any recommendations?

Are you using a stock block? If you are the forged rotating assembly is overkill in a stock block. The block will let go and take out all of the good parts. 475 h.p. is good for 550-600 hp at the crank. The stock block at those levels is on borrowed time. I'd also use a dished piston with that kit unless you have some pretty big combustion chambers in your heads. Look for some SFI approved Balancers and flywheels. Stud the bottom end.

As Retro said get a complete rotating assembly with dished pistons. You'll want to shoot for no more than 9.0-1 compression.Limit rwp to 450-475 if you want motor to last more than a week.

Most of the 347 kits are either 28oz imbalance or zero. Which means your balancer and flywheel from the 93 are a no go (50oz). This fuck up would ruin your day.

so do u think I should go with an aggressive heads and cam setup to hold me over until i can muster up another couple grand for a dart block? I could reach that 450-75hp mark pretty easily considering I'm at 390 now. Perhaps twisted wedge's and an f303

The trick flow heads will work good. It will give you a boost in power over the stock heads. But you have to have a good intake to take advantage of the heads. What is your set-up right now? A bigger intake tract will give more power at less boost.

current setup
-stock long block
-vortech v2 s-trim
-42# injectors
-all the other supporting mods

In terms of intake manifolds, the stock cobra gt40 one is generally good with boost. I may have to get a tfs one to match the heads, but we'll see

The stock Cobra intake should be fine for what you want to do.

Cobra intake with ported lower, Trick Flow heads, F cam=minimum 450rwp without even leaning on it.

What happened to the stock engine ?
In my opinion you could keep the stock short block and use the aformentioned trick flow heads and f-cam with a systemax intake and a good ignition system . You will also need a good fuel system . Use aftermarket fuel lines , pump or pumps and rails .
If you pushed 14 pounds of boost with your s- trim . You could easily reach your goal of 475 rwhp . If not more .. wouldn't be surprised if it made over 500 rwhp , But with a real conservative tune you will make your goal no problem . One recomendation I have for you is to get an intercooler . This will help make your engine last a little longer by keeping the inlet temps down and the detonation devil from showing it's ugly head . Also use a good quality head gasket.... like cometic . Use ARP head studs too .
