REDLINE! NEED HELP!

I just got my mustang on the road and this happens. The MSD ignition is fuck up or some chip is missing so when i start my car i have to have the clutch and the gas all the way in and the last few times i started the car i noticed the gas pedal would kick back. Then i went into work at 3:00pm and after work 11:00 i started it up no problem. Then i drove over to my friends car because he was haveing some problems and I turned the car off. Then he got his running and we were about to leave. I go to start my car and it starts relining and I was not even touch the gas. I turned it off and I was like what the fuck was that. Me and my friend checked under the hood to check the throttle and the cable and shit and nothing seemed wrong so I went to start it up again and it redlined again so I turned it off and we were checking the throttle again and looking for any problems and then my friends brother came and we were all trying to see what the problem was. There was alot of hitting the gas pedal and playing with the throttle and then we tried to stat it again and it would not start so by this time i think we probably flooded the engine. so im FUCKED because i have no money to get it fixed because i just spent a shit load of money getting it on the road so i have to wait till thursday to take it to get it fixed. any kinda help or adive would help. thanks.

only way for that to happen is too much air cover the throttle body with your hand and start it if it runs theres a big vacum leak. i can fix it give me a call 617 688 4236... i also have a trailer if it needs to be towed

To start a flooded fuel inj. stang ... all you have to do is hold the throttle wide open during cranking . This will shut off the injectors and will allow more air into the engine to burn off all the extra fuel . Make sure your linkage is'nt getting hung up and your cable is in good condition . Also take a look at your TPS sensor . Take it off and make sure it is sitting on the throttle shaft correctly . Like it was already said .... It could be a bad vaccum leak aswell .. If you get er fired up again . Try spraying some throttle body cleaner around the intake area and see if the idle changes .

TPS stands for .... Throttle ... Position ...Sensor . It is located on top of your throttle body . It is held on by two screws . Remve them and it will come off . Just make sure when you put it back on that you line up the throttle shafts guide pins correctly .

unscrew the tps, turn it, and screw it back in.

or u can do it right by using a voltmeter attached to the green wire. ground the black wire on the headlight ground so u dont gotta tap the tps ground.

anywhere between .90-.99 volts at idle is where u want it

just leave the key on, dont start the motor

it should run like a champ once u get the right voltage reading

idk but when im driving and i go to stop and it idles for about a few seconds and it stalls on me and before it stalls i see the volts going down it to the red insted of being in the middle. so nite what do you mean unscrew the tps, turn it, and screw it back. what am i turning something on the tps or something on the throttle body? im going to try 93 lx five0's way first but nite's is a back up plan.

Your alternator could be on it's way out ....or... If you have underdrive pullies ... sometimes these can cause charging problems by not spinning it fast enough at low engine speeds .
