time frame on painting a car


how long does it normally take to paint a whole car ?

Physically painting or prep work as well? Painting it alone....couple hours depending on how many coats & how long between coats.

i can answer this question, if your car doesn't have much damage or rust repair depending how much you disassemble. about 2 weeks. you need a good 2 days for primer to harden on spots or else it will shrink. unless your lucky enough to have a heated booth. it also takes another 2 days or more depending on the product to wet sand and buff. i have about 35-40 hours in my car and i took the moldings bumpers and 1/4 glass out i also repainted all my black trim

yea i have about 40 hours into all my dissassembly,painting all the black trim and assembly it took a long time but its worth it in the end.
